Randy Owen with the country group Alabama will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in October.   Randy jokes  “I think more than anything at all, it’s important for my dogs and for my family because they’ve heard me write these songs”   Owen, is one of four people who will be inducted according to the Hall of Fame Foundation.   Other inductees are Will Jennings, author of several movie themes, including “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic; Jeffrey Steele, who has written songs for Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts; and Layng Martine Jr., who has written songs for Reba McIntire and Billy “Crash” Craddock.

They will join 188 existing members when they are inducted Oct. 13 during the 43rd Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Dinner & Induction Ceremony. The event will be at the Music City Center.   read more
