Garth Brooks says he hadn’t intended to be quite so dressed down for his Las Vegas shows.  For the show, which was captured on DVD for his new box set, the country superstar wore a ball cap and hoodie with jeans and work boots.  Brooks blames it all on time zones — and Steve Wynn.  He tells “Country Aircheck” that he was on his tractor at his home in Oklahoma prior to heading to Vegas for his very first show at The Encore Theater when a call from Steve had him suddenly rushing to the airport.  Garth says he looked “like crap,” wearing work boots and smelling like diesel fuel.  He adds that it’s how he appeared at the theater for the sound check, but not how he intended to look for the actual show.  Wynn, however, thought the extremely casual attire was part of the act, and loved it.

Garth doesn’t give any indication of how he’ll dress for his upcoming tour.  He announced last month that he’ll be returning to the road this year.
