Trisha Yearwood says her current tour is the most fun she can “ever remember having” on the road. And she credits that to her cooking show and her age.  The country star tells CMT she’s always felt at ease in front of an audience, but since she started “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen” she’s become “a lot more comfortable on stage.”  She explains that the show is “very ad lib” because “the recipes are the script,” which she likes because “it comes off more natural.”  Trisha adds that on her show she’s “always talking and talking and talking,” and she believes that has helped her live show.

But Yearwood thinks being 49 makes a difference as well.  She says at this age “you start to lose the filter,” and she’s found it’s “kind of freeing to just be yourself.”  Trisha is planning her first tour in five years.
