Alan Jackson says he can’t explain his success. But the country star, who’s celebrating his 25th anniversary as a recording artist, admits for him it’s been a combination of good luck and good material. Jackson adds that when he started his career back in the 1980s he “had nothing,” and didn’t know anything about the music industry. He says to now be marking such a career milestone in such a special way is proof he’s living the American Dream.
Jackson’s 25th anniversary is being celebrated with an exhibit at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, which will open on August 29th. The singer will also serve as the museum’s Artist in Residence this fall, and launch a 25th anniversary tour next year.
