Randy Travis continues to honor those who’ve inspired him with a new covers album. “Influences Vol. 2: The Man I Am” includes the singer’s remakes of country classics, including Hank Snow’s “I’m Movin’ On.” Randy’s 13-track set also features songs originally made famous by Waylon Jennings, Ray Price, Kris Kristofferson, and others, along with a solo version of “Tonight I’m Playin’ Possum.” Last year’s “Influences Vol. 1” included Randy and Joe Nichols’ duet version of the George Jones tribute song. Travis’ label doesn’t say when the country star recorded the material on his new album. He’s still recovering from a stroke he suffered last July. Travis’ “Influences Vol 2” will be available on August 19th in standard, deluxe, and collector’s editions. Those who pre-order the album will be able to download the music one week earlier, on August 12th.
