Downtown Nashville just got even more exciting. To celebrate the life of her late husband, George Jones, Nancy Jones has announced plans for the George Jones Museum to open on Nashville’s 2nd Avenue. And if that weren’t cool enough, in addition to the museum, there will also be a gift shop, restaurant, event space and music venue.
“We are overjoyed to share George’s legacy and memory with the Nashville community,” says Nancy. “We hope that this will draw George’s friends and fans worldwide to our great city. George and I made this our home, and he would be happy to know that we found a home to continue his legacy in the heart of Music City.”
The building was the home of the former club Graham Central Station and occupies a whopping 44,000 square feet of space on 2nd Avenue, right in the honky-tonk district. An opening date has not yet been revealed.
