Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Neil Young will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their Farm Aid benefit concert this September.  Organizers have pinned down a September 19th date for the milestone event.  In a statement, Willie reflected on the good the concert has done in its 30-years, pointing out that hundreds of artists have “given their time and talent to support family farmers.”  He also looks forward to having more artists take the stage this year to “celebrate family farm agriculture.”  John Mellencamp also looked back on the Farm Aid legacy, saying the annual benefit has changed America’s “farm and food system,” as well as the “rich musical record” of live music.  More information on the concert will come as the date nears.
