The popular dinner and entertainment attraction has just completed a $2.5 million update that includes new music and special effects, as well as interactive lighting that features 12.5 million LED bulbs.
The Dixie Stampede arena seats as many as 1,100 audience members, and features as many as five shows a day, Woody Peek, director of marketing for Dixie Stampede, tells Mashable.
“We’ve been entertaining guests for 28 years,” says Woody Peek, director of marketing for the show “This is the largest reinvestment ever back into the show.”
“Our connection with Dolly and Dolly’s music, along with the equestrian theme, has been our mainstay,” Peek adds. “That is not changing. Our show will still have the 32 [equestrian] stars of the show, and our riders will be performing.”
“I wanted to dazzle our guests in 2015 with a completely new atmosphere,” Dolly says The show debuted its new look on Feb. 13. The renovation coincided with Dollywood’s 30th anniversary.The Dixie Stampede is located in Pigeon Gorge, Tenn., near Parton’s Dollywood theme park.
