A report in the “Arizona Republic” says the nationwide restaurant chain I Love This Bar and Grill has generated nearly 30-million dollars in lawsuits, liens and judgments.  The company behind the chain, Boomtown Entertainment, is accused of taking millions of dollars from mall owners and developers, and using it to build new locations.  The company is accused of then walking away with the money and leaving projects unfinished.

Boomtown has closed 17 of its 20 Toby Keith restaurants in the past 18 months.  The company’s lawyer would not discuss the allegations, but said in an e-mail that many stores closed because they lost money.  Country singer Toby Keith collects revenue on the naming rights, but does not have an ownership stake in the business.
