Charlie Daniels hosted a celebration dinner at Nashville’s the Palm restaurant with some of his famous and military friends. The Journey Home Project is a “non-profit organization Daniels co-founded to assist veterans and their families in meeting their financial, educational and healthcare needs as they make their integration back into civilian life.”
Honorary speaker Lieutenant General (Retired) Keith M. Huber spoke at the event on behalf of veterans and Middle Tennessee State University, where the funds from the Journey Home Project will be donated to in order to assist in the completion of the school’s new Veterans and Military Families Center on campus. The evening also included a silent auction with valuable signed merchandise and rare memorabilia up for grabs.
