Crystal Gayle was welcomed back to Wabash, Indiana, in grand style (Nov. 12) when the Wabash County Historical Museum unveiled their newly named Crystal Gayle Theater and a historical exhibit honoring their hometown girl.
“It’s so humbling to return to Wabash and feel the love from the community. They always welcome me home with open arms. I’m so proud to be here and be part of this incredible museum,” she said.
The exhibit includes a replica of Crystal’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, along with a gold album, a tour gown, pictures and memorabilia.
Although Crystal was born in Kentucky, the youngest of eight children, including Loretta Lynn, her family moved to Wabash for work after the mining industry downsized.
