Blake Shelton’s libel lawsuit against the publisher of “InTouch Weekly” is moving forward. On Monday, a judge in California denied Bauer Media’s request to strike the case. Shelton is suing the company for more than one-million-dollars in damages, claiming defamation. The lawsuit stems from a September cover story in which “InTouch” claimed that Shelton’s heavy drinking contributed to his divorce from Miranda Lambert and that he was going to rehab. Bauer Publishing argued that Shelton’s legal action interfered with their First Amendment rights and filed a motion to strike the lawsuit.
