Sad news, the guitarist who played on Elvis Presley’s early hits is dead. The “Memphis Commercial-Appeal” reports that Scotty Moore died on Tuesday. The 84-year-old had been in poor health for several months. Moore became a member of Presley’s original band when legendary producer Sam Phillips recruited him in 1954. He played with Elvis on such hits as “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Hound Dog.”
Lisa Marie Presley has filed for divorce Tuesday and it’s not pretty. Lisa Marie cites irreconcilable differences for the divorce and she lists the date of separation as June 13th. While she’s not asking for any spousal support, she wants full custody of the couple’s twin seven-year-old daughters. Elvis’ says she wants to give her musician hubby visitation, but only monitored. The two have been married since 2006.
