Alabama is getting an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. “Alabama: Song of the South” opens on August 25th and runs through July 17, 2017. The new exhibit will spotlight the group’s illustrious career through treasured keepsakes and instruments that helped shape members Jeff Cook, Teddy Gentry and Randy Owen into the artists they are today. Items include Cook’s first Silverstone guitar from the 1960s and the original table-top radio that introduced Gentry to Country music as a child. The original handwritten manuscript of “Born Country” will also be displayed. Alabama signed with RCA in 1980. Since then, they’ve sold tens of millions of albums worldwide and have earned an array of awards from the CMA, ACM and the Recording Academy. Alabama was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
