Alan Jackson is opening a bar on Nashville’s Lower Broadway two doors down from Ernest Tubb Record Shop. “The Tennessean” reports, he paid nearly six-million dollars for the building that most recently housed The Wheel Cigar Bar. Jackson plans to open AJ’s Good Time Bar later this year. It will feature three floors and a rooftop bar. Jackson says, “I always wanted to own a honky tonk that plays real country music on Broadway that I could put my name on.” Jackson is also a partner in Acme Feed & Seed, a restaurant and music space a block from his new building.
