Three decades ago, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt released their Grammy-winning Trio album. Thirty years later, they have released The Complete Trio Collection. This compilation includes updated versions of the first two albums, along with a third disc of 22 songs and outtakes that have never been released from the original 1986 and 1994 sessions. It features never-before-heard versions of songs including “Farther Along” and “Wildflowers,” as well their acapella version of “Calling My Children Home.” Among the most important songs are “Even Cowgirls Get The Blues” and “Mister Sandman,” which are accepted as the songs that formed the sound of the Trio and started the recording process.
