Darryl Worley will be the celebrity guest on the 2016 Santa Train. Now in its 74th year, the Santa Train runs through Appalachia, traveling 110-miles throughout Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee. At each of the 14 stops, Worley and the rest of the crew will deliver Christmas gifts, food and winter clothing to families in need. Worley told “The Tennessean,” “I said, Heck yeah, I’ll do it, and I’ll bring my family along and let my little girl get a taste of that reality. That was one of my deciding factors. And my wife is one of those Appalachia girls, so it’s going to be really special to her to see those children’s faces. It’s really special for my family and me. It’s not just me.” Worley will also perform at the Santa Train’s final stop in Kingport, Tennessee.

Many country performers have been aboard the Santa Train including the Judds in 2010 (pictured).
