Vince Gill is nominated for the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.   Induction recognizes composers and lyricists from all over the world.  Gill is one of 12 performing songwriters up for the prestigious honor in 2017.

Three other well-known Nashville names are also on the list of potential inductees under the non-performing songwriters category.  Randy Goodrum wrote Anne Murray’s “You Needed Me,” Max Martin penned Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” and Paul Overstreet wrote Randy Travis’ “Forever and Ever, Amen.”

Winners are chosen by eligible voting members of the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.  They have until December 16th to cast their ballots.

The winners will be honored in New York City next June.
