Blake Shelton is getting into the bar business. He’s partnered with Ryman Hospitality for a new entertainment venue called Ole Red. It’ll be located downtown Nashville on Lower Broadway and is expected to open in 2018. The venue’s name is an homage to the Grand Ole Opry, which Ryman Hospitality owns, and the hit song that helped launch Shelton’s career. Ole Red will feature a two-story bar, a rooftop restaurant, along with a stage for live entertainment, a mezzanine that overlooks the stage and dance floor, retail space and private event space. A second Ole Red location is planned for Shelton’s hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Shelton says, “It’s amazing to me to see a song that’s been such a big part of my career come to life in the plans for Ole Red. Nashville and Tishomingo are both places that are important to me, and it’s great that each location is going to have its own personality inspired by one of my favorite songs.”
The Tishomingo location of Ole Red will be in building that housed Miranda Lambert’s Pink Pistol Boutique. Shelton bought the building soon after the couple split and Miranda moved the boutique to her hometown.
