Tanya Tucker has been forced to postpone a few of her upcoming shows following an onstage fall and a recent bout of bronchitis. The “Delta Dawn” singer will be rescheduling three concerts originally set for this week.
According to a statement from Tucker’s management, Tucker has been hospitalized in Texas following a fall during a recent concert, in which the singer fractured a vertebrae in her back and injured her rib. While in the hospital, Tucker was diagnosed with bronchitis, and she is now recovering through physical therapy and breathing treatments. Therefore, she is postponing three upcoming shows: Jan. 12 in Tulsa, Okla., Jan. 13 in Emporia, Kan., and Jan. 14 in Grant, Okla.
“We’ve been having a blast with the band and fans on the road, and I’m so mad this happened,” Tucker says in a statement. “I was really looking forward to seeing all the Okies and fans in Kansas this week, but we have to postpone the shows. I’ll do my very best to make it up for y’all. Let’s hope for no more accidents this year, and I look forward to a great 2017.”
