Fifty-years after she first performed on the Ryman stage, Crystal Gayle is now a member of the Grand Ole Opry. She was inducted Saturday night by her sister, Loretta Lynn. Gayle told “The Tennessean,” “Being a member of the Opry is just incredible. It’s really hard to comprehend. I have felt like a part of the Opry for all these years. Now, I’m official.” Gayle was 16-years-old when she made her Opry debut, performing “Ribbon of Darkness” at the Ryman.
