Country music legend Glen Campbell may be in the late stages of Alzheimer’s disease, but his wife says he still has “his essence.” In an interview with “The Tennessean,” Kim Campbell says she visits Glen daily. he’s lost most of his language and doesn’t understand much. She says occasionally Glen will say a short sentence, including “I love you” or “how are you doing,” even though the words don’t register meaning in his head. She says he’ll even play air guitar sometimes and will try to sing. Glen was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011. He was moved to a long-term care facility in 2014.
